If you missed the classic LucasArts adventure games, then you will be happy to hear that remastered versions of some of them will soon be added to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
The company announced its collaboration with Double Fine by legendary creator Tim Schafer and is preparing us for the addition of Grim Fandango Remastered, Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered. Remastered versions come with upgraded graphics, improved management and commentary from developers, but those who want to live the original experience will have the choice.
- Day of the Tentacle was released in 1993 as the sequel to the groundbreaking Maniac Mansion and its plot includes time travel, character changes and plenty of humor to protect the world from Purple.
- Full Throttle was released in 1995 and tells the story of Ben Throttle, the leader of a Polecats gang who is suddenly embroiled in a mysterious murder case.
- Grim Fandango is rightly considered one of the highlights in the history of the company. His story chronicles the 4 years after the death of protagonist Manny Calavera and is a formidable mix of film noir with Mexican folk tradition.
The three adventures will be available on the Xbox Game Pass from October 29, 2020, while each will be sold separately at a price of € 14.99.
