WhatsApp: Voice / video calls also come to desktop app

Once again the WABetaInfo team reveals new features that will most likely be added to the WhatsApp service. This time they report that in the beta version 2.2043.7 of the desktop application of the service there is the possibility of making voice and video calls directly from the desktop application. Something that until now can only be done by the mobile applications for Android and iOS.

In their tests, they saw that the calls appear in a pop-up window with options for accepting or rejecting a call, starting a video call, mute, etc., while group telephone / video calls will be supported in a future update. The integration of the new features will be very welcome for those who use the service on their computer, as they will not need to grab their smartphone at all in order to enjoy all the features of WhatsApp.

So far there is nothing official from Facebook. So we will wait a few days / weeks for the announcement and the detailed details.
