An innovative wristband from CTRL-Labs promises to change your experience as it turns your hand into a keyboard or mouse. Through a small video demo we see the wrist in action, with the user initially using it as a keyboard on a blank surface.
The gestures are converted into letters, as if you were writing on a real keyboard, while for any mistakes there is AI to correct your sentences. In the continuation of the video we see the wristband working as a mouse in an AR environment, so that the user can precede the menus with the ease of his hand. As the creator informs us, Pascal Bornet, could change the way we work, but also offer a better experience in AR and VR games.
CTRL-Lab was created in 2015, and is now part of Facebook. The company aims at mass production of this wristband by 2024. The way it works is that it translates the movements of the hand or fingers, based on the vibrations made by each movement. Theoretically of course, it could find many functions, but we have to wait for the final product to have a clear picture.
